Off the subject a little...

David Sinclair!

I looked into this photographer for my FMP last year and loved his work, but now i have found his western work and it is EXACTLY how i want my Final Major Project to look, it is obviosly slightly linked to my current project, as it is documenting a lifestyle, and again it involoves horses, the work is abosolutly beautiful and is also in black and white which is how i pictured my work looking, this work weirdly exactly resembles how i want mine to look.. which is a both a little annoying because it may look like i have copied it! but also inspirational! But i did see this work after i invisioned my own work!

I pictured my work looking like this with lots of flying sand and dust!
 Also doing portraits of "cowboys"!!

Pieter Hugo

I had seen some of the images from this set before but never looked into the photographer, i have been looking at his set of images "the Hyena Man" they are incredible for both there content and the way they are shot, they look like they have most likely been shot on medium format and they are very desaturated in colour the images are obviosly posed and fairly dead pan, this isnt neccisarily a route i want to take with the look of my work but i think it shows an amazing bond, between a wild and dangerous animal and man!

Looking at other peoples work!

Gordon Parks

Water for Elephants!
Please excuse the dodgy video it was the only clip i could find of this section of the film and it has a some weird cartoon layed over it but this is a beautiful scene from the film that shows a loving and trusting relationship between people and animals (horses)

My weekend

so this weekend i braved the elements and went on to dartmoor to take photos of some very wet and miserable ponies, armed with carrots and my boyfriend for a trusty camera bag assitant i went!

Here is some of the images i got not very impressed with many of them but here we go! :)

I then decided because i hadnt got anything amazing from this to go to Brads sisters stable's to document the things she does on a daily basis i think the image i got here were the most susccesful!

 Cute!
 Flying!!

 One of my favs!
 Yum Yum Yum!
Is it a bird? is it a plane? No its a ferret!

This image is my favorite, you can really see the happy bond Vicky has with her animals! :)
 Going for a ride!

The horses were only cleaned yesterday!!
The Stable and shed that she spends most of her life in! Vicky is here pretty much all day everyday, she has built her own little haven, she has 2 cats, 5 horses, a feral blind cat that appears from time to time, her own little wild pond that welcomes local wildlife, a vegetable patch and ALOT of ferrets not sure on numbers but it must be over 20!

David Ruston

So i found an awesome photographer names David Ruston, his work is very similar to alot of other peoples work but i really like it!
In particular a project he did called "content" here is some of the work he did for this project which was based on asking strangers if they would mind laying out the content of their bags.
